Mira Porte is one of the many villages of the great Municipality of Mira (VE), practically at the center of the triangle formed by Venice/Padua/Treviso. The centre of Mira Porte (100 meters from the apartment) consists of a charming little square located on a small island at the point where the Naviglio Brenta forks and then rejoin immediately afterwards. A particular place, suggestive and quiet, while spectacular are the Chiuse of Mira Porte where each boat must stop to allow the structure to fill the difference in height of the waters.
The Naviglio Brenta is the waterway that connects Venice to Padua, fully navigable both by public and private transport. Among them the most famous is the Burchiello, which almost daily allows you to visit the most important villas of the area. On its banks, in fact, there are some of the most beautiful Venetian Villas of 1600 and 1700, many Palladian ones, built by the Venetian aristocrats during the Serenissima Republic and where they used to spend their Summer holidays, as reported by Carlo Goldoni in his comedies.
